Snap is a lightweight utility for power users or developers to capture screenshots.

Instead of opening Microsoft Paint, saving the image, navigating to an online image host, uploading the image, and seeking the direct link to the image ... you can use Snap.

  • the PrtScr key for full-screen captures
  • the Alt + PrtScr key for active-window captures
Snap just uploads them to for you, and puts the link in to your clipboard.

In the future, I plan to implement:

Ctrl + PrtScr capture for realtime cropping and other basic edits, before uploading
DirectX capture (which is actually really difficult and error-prone, so most likely not)
